Rose Valland played a big part in preserving art and artifacts in Paris. A 1964 film,
The Train, staring
Burt Lancaster, was based on
Ms. Valland's book,
Resistence at the Museum covering the theft of many national treasures which were on board a train heading for Germany. I found a copy of The Train DVD at the library.
